The game is made by one person. The answers below cover almost everything we get asked; if yours is not here, write and we will reply.
In English or French. Allow a few days: there is no team behind this address, only someone.
The most useful case
When the game breaks off, it shows a dark screen with the detail of the error and a Copy button. That is by far the most useful message we can receive: it holds the exact place where things went wrong.
Your save
Not in this version. The game creates an anonymous account that saves your progress online, but there is not yet any way to attach that account to an email address or to a Google or Apple identity. Without one, there is no way to prove on the new phone that the account is yours.
In other words: your game is tied to the device. If you change phones or uninstall the game, it starts over. Account linking is planned; it is not here today, and we would rather say so than let you find out.
This happens when two devices have used the same account: the one on the phone and the one online no longer tell the same story. The game does not decide for you, because it is your game at stake. Look at the level and the date of each, and keep the one that is yours. The other is erased.
From inside the game, or from this page if you no longer have access to it: delete your account. Deletion is immediate and final.
Friends
A code is eight characters, written four and four:
NEKO-2468. Case, hyphens and spaces make no difference — type it however you
like.
The alphabet, however, deliberately leaves out I, O, 0 and 1: they are easy to confuse when copying a code off a screen. If you think you can see one, it is a 1 read as an I, or the other way round.
Twenty. Enough for the list to stay alive, few enough that you recognise everyone on it.
No, and that is deliberate. There is not a single text field in the game. You visit their house, send your cat over for four hours, look after theirs while they are away, and compare the week's scores. Nothing to report, nothing to moderate.
Time
Daily counters reset at midnight UTC, not midnight where you are. Depending on your time zone, that lands in the late afternoon or mid-morning. It is the same instant for everyone, which the weekly leaderboards need.
Opening hours, on the other hand, follow your phone's clock: the evening merchant does arrive at six in the evening for you.
He comes by from six to eleven in the evening, local time. Outside those hours, his stall shows when he is due back. Two of the twelve games also only open at night.
That is normal: they are capped at eight hours to begin with. The cap grows with the Bigger bag upgrade in the Market, then with the A deeper bag branch of the prestige tree.
Nothing is lost beyond that: the game simply stops counting. Your cats are waiting.
Settings
Open the Profile page — the portrait, top left. The Sound row has a checkbox and a volume slider. If the box is unchecked, the slider stays grey.
On a phone, also check that silent mode is off: the game has no way to override it.
On the Profile page, under Language. Seven are available. The game reloads at once; your save does not move.
At the very bottom of the Profile page. Include it in any message: without it we cannot tell whether the problem has already been fixed.
That should never happen: the game only opens a video if you tap a button that announces it. If you see one appear any other way, write to us — that is a defect, not an intention.
